Ayurvedic massage is a treatment that affects the whole body using various manual skills, stimulation, manipulation, accompanied by the use of medicated oils (Tailam), applied hot, tamping with sacks of herbs, natural creams, all prepared according to the dictates of the Ayurvedic tradition and chosen according to the different physical types of each individual. The oils in particular lubricate and strengthen muscles and joints, strengthen and tone the tissues, nourish and give shine to the skin.
This workshop aims to introduce the basic principles of the'' art of living '(Ayur-veda) and offers the opportunity, to all those who want to have a tool to learn more about themselves, to practice and learn basic techniques of an ancient science 5000 years.
First Week end:
-Introduction to Ayurveda.
-Panchamaha Bhoota (the five elements)
-The Doshas (the humors that govern our structure)
-Pita: head massage and five senses massage.
-Pita full body refreshing massage
Second Week end:
-Defining characteristics and quality of Dosha.
-Oils for each Dosha
-Benefits of different massage techniques.
-Vata: decontracting massage, manipulation for back,shoulders, neck
-Preparation and use of Othadam, bags with medicated herbs to heat and loose the contractures.
Third Week end:
-How to recognize the predominant constitution (Dosha) in the patient.
-Learn to choose the apropriate technique for the patient
-Kapa: leg massage
-Kapa lymphatic massage
