The word YOGA comes from the hindi rooth word Yug, which means Union.
There are different schools, lineages, teaching of yoga, each of them is a path that drives the practicioner to feel the unity within and with all the cosmos.
We practiced many styles, and we collected a great amount of insights, inspirations and revelations during our journey.
The most beautiful thing of a sincere path of Yoga, is the endless source of teaching, that can come from any situation.
Yoga teaches to stay in tune, to listen, to be open to what the energy tells us. Then we can interact with the signals and apply the yogic knowledge to balance and heal our whole system.
This can be applyed in the physical sense of listening the body: the first action of Yoga is on the structure, the muscles, the articulations... We can work according to the capacity of our body vehicle, giving it some good "food" to stay toned, healthy, strong and flexible as much as is possible.
In a more subtle, still phisical level we can work with the energies that move our body: blood pressure, breath capacity and oxigenation of the body, digestive system and endocrine system. Thanks to many Asanas (postures) and Pranayama exercise we can interact with the intelligence of our body, and be more and more aware of the infinite inteconnections between body and energy: when we breathe properly our heart beats slowlier, the oxigenation is more complete, our energy is more steady, we feel more relaxed, present, aware...
Yoga can help us to work with our mind in a very effective way. The more we are in control of our body, the less we will feel the need to control things that are out of of capacity of control: thanks to the meditative state that brings a good practice of Yoga, we can slowly slowly let go of our attachment to thoughts, fears, resistances. The more our body will be flexible, so it will be our mind. As our heart beat slows, so our "monkey" thoughts become less and less attractive. The more we apreciate to listen to the messages of our body and the energies within, the more we learn to worry less.
As much as the Yoga teaching enter our counciousness we discover ourselves practicing the art of Union all through the day, our attitude is more and more open to accept, integrate, welcome Life and its differences, that make all part of the same great picture. In this way we raise our vibration, and what we share to the world is more and more a vibration of love, unity and peace.
The different teachings we had the pleasure to experiment and integrate gave different shades and colors to our personal practice, and made us develop our own method to teach.
We are available for different experiences, and are based now in Mocarapacho, Olhão, Algarve, where we work and share the practice.
